We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in Warrington.
Location: Warrington
Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
Role Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Carry out inspections and identify defects
- Repair and replace vehicle components where required
- Work on braking, suspension, steering and other vehicle systems
- Complete maintenance and repair records accurately
- Ensure vehicles meet required safety and roadworthiness standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Work effectively as part of a professional workshop team
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
- Experience working with commercial vehicles or HGVs
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and servicing
- Strong attention to detail
