Salary: £42,000 - £49,000 pa
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 7.00am - 4.00pm
Duties:
- Perform routine servicing in line with internal procedures and schedules
- Complete planned inspections and repairs to both company standards and DVSA requirements
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and present them when required
- Identify mechanical and electrical faults and determine appropriate repair solutions, ensuring warranty processes are followed correctly
- Complete all documentation accurately and within required timeframes
- Maintain high standards of workshop organisation, cleanliness and tool control
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide on-road assistance when necessary
- Carry out road tests to diagnose issues or confirm successful repairs
- Work in full compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures
Skills and Experience:
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in HGV or PSV maintenance, repair and diagnostics
- At least five years' hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
- PSV licence advantageous but not a requirement
- Welding experience would be beneficial
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety at Work legislation
- Able to work independently, show initiative and maintain a reliable, consistent approach with a positive, practical mindset
