My client, a well-established organisation within the commercial projects and installations sector, is seeking a proactive and organised Transport & Warehouse Administrator to support its logistics and warehouse operations. This is a varied, operational role combining transport administration with hands-on warehouse support. It is suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and compliance, and is comfortable balancing office-based coordination with practical warehouse activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the day-to-day planning and administration of transport operations
  • Monitoring deliveries and collections, identifying and escalating delays or risks to service
  • Communicating with drivers to resolve issues and support safe, on-time completion of work
  • Liaising with a variety of management teams ensuring transport requirements are understood and actioned
  • Creating, issuing, and maintaining transport documentation including delivery notes, collection notes, site instructions, and health and safety paperwork
  • Booking goods into internal systems, filing, chasing outstanding proof of delivery or collection
  • Updating/maintaining weekly warehouse checks, ensuring records are accurate and audit-ready
  • Supporting transport compliance admin including tachograph downloads & infringement monitoring
  • Monitoring vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and defect reports
  • Producing weekly summaries to support performance tracking and continuous improvement
  • Assisting in the warehouse when required, including stock audits and loading and unloading vehicles
  • Attending weekly meetings with relevant stakeholders

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordinator role ideally within transport, logistics, operations, or a fast-paced service environment
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Basic understanding of transport KPIs and continuous improvement
