Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm (30-minute lunch)
- Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Stores / Goods In Operative to join our team in Stourport. This role is key to ensuring efficient stock control, accurate record-keeping, and smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and distribute stock to meet business requirements
- Maintain accurate stock control, including storage and location management
- Update records and systems as required
- Carry out regular stock checks and counts
- Follow all procedures when completing tasks
- Report discrepancies to the appropriate department
- Maintain a safe working environment and culture
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping across all work areas
- Support other departments when required
- Comply with all company Health & Safety regulations
- Carry out additional duties as requested by the Stores Supervisor or Manager
Requirements
- Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy
- Previous experience in stockroom or warehouse organisation
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Able to work effectively under pressure
- Forklift licence (preferred/required)
- Positive attitude with energy and enthusiasm
- Flexible to undertake ad hoc duties as needed
