We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run precision engineering company with over 50 years of manufacturing expertise. Operating from a modern, well-equipped facility, the business provides complete in-house manufacturing solutions to high-spec sectors including aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, and oil & gas. This is a great opportunity to join a highly skilled team specialising in high-precision grinding within a quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC cylindrical grinding machines (Not essential)
- Manual grinding including cylindrical and surface grinding operations
- Grinding components in aluminium and a range of steels
- Self-inspection and maintaining high-quality standards
- Supporting continuous improvement across grinding processes
Equipment / Plant
- CNC Cylindrical Grinders including Jones & Shipman Ultramat and Ultramat 1000
- Additional CNC grinding capacity across multiple Jones & Shipman, Okamoto, and Kellenberger machines
- Manual cylindrical grinding (external and internal)
- Surface grinding machines with capacities up to 500 x 600mm
- Capability for both external and internal grinding with high-precision control
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC and/or manual grinding
- Experience with cylindrical and surface grinding
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Experience machining aluminium and steels
- Experience with Jones & Shipman, Okamoto, or Kellenberger machines beneficial (not essential)
