We are currently recruiting class 1 drivers for a temp to perm contract in our Newton Abbot depot. New pass drivers are welcome with previous class 2 experience. This role includes delivering fresh, frozen and grocery products to local convenience stores, with only 2-3 drops per load.
Location: Newton Abbot
Shift Pattern: Thursday to Monday / Tuesday to Saturday / Friday to Tuesday - Start between 05:00 to 07:00
Pay Rates:
- Mon-Fri: £13.69 DAYS - £14.60 NIGHTS
- Sat and overtime: £16.43 DAYS - £17.52 NIGHTS
- Sun: £20.54 DAYS - £21.89 NIGHTS
What You'll Be Doing:
- Delivering to local convenience stores (2-3 drops per load)
- Unloading into store warehouses (no manual handling)
- Driving within WTD and EU regulations
- Vehicle checks, prepping, and refuelling
- Providing excellent customer service on every round
What We're Looking For:
- Valid DIGI and CPC card
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and organised individuals
- Willingness to work weekends
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Shift Details:
- Minimum 8 hours per shift
- 30-minute break deducted per shift
