About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Warehouse Operatives to join their team based in Lockerbie for an initial term of 4 weeks. This role is perfect for individuals who are seeking a hands‑on, fast‑paced work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse duties, including using a barcode scanner to manage stock and maintain inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing products accurately and efficiently.
- Scanning items using a barcode scanner.
- Stock control, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely.
- General warehouse maintenance and cleanliness.
- Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
- A good level of physical fitness is required as the role involves manual handling.

Training
An induction will be provided on your first day, which is paid. You will receive full training on how to use the barcode scanner.
Location
Based in Lockerbie, conveniently located next to the train station, making it easily accessible for candidates from Lockerbie, Dumfries, and Carlisle.

- £12.71 per hour, paid weekly (a week in lieu).
