Overview: WF Tech is partnering with a leading aerospace subcontractor to find an experienced Planning Engineer to join their Commercial Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with both Sales and Engineering departments, contributing to the smooth operation of a precision engineering business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan CNC machining operations and ensure they are carried out efficiently using your knowledge of materials, speeds, and feeds.
- Develop complete job packages, including necessary setup and manufacturing documents.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to produce accurate reports and documentation.
- Work with Engineering/Programming departments and external suppliers to procure tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Apply Lean tools and work with the Lean team to drive continuous improvement across the business.
- Manage parts, BOMs, route planning, works orders, and purchase orders through the production control system.
- Collect, analyse, and report key data to ensure production goals are met on time and to the highest standards.
Essential Qualifications:
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus statutory and bank holidays.
Salary: Competitive (TBA)
