WF Tech is recruiting a Key Project Account Manager for a well-established aerospace manufacturing business based in Dukinfield. This is a senior, customer-facing role with real influence, offering the opportunity to manage key clients within a substantial project portfolio and lead a small team, all within a flexible and supportive working environment.
The Role
As Key Project Account Manager, you will take ownership of managing key clients across the group’s portfolio of projects, which currently turns over circa £54 million annually. Acting as the primary interface between customers and internal stakeholders, you will ensure delivery excellence, oversee contract and orderbook performance, and identify opportunities to grow both existing accounts and new work packages.
You will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of three, ensuring consistent standards, strong communication, and effective project delivery. This is a days-based role with flexible start and finish times, designed to support work–life balance while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop key client relationships across a multi-project portfolio
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned strategic accounts
- Oversee accounts within a portfolio turning over approximately £54m annually
- Lead, manage, and support a team of three project/account professionals
- Coordinate internal functions and external supply chain activity
- Resolve customer issues and manage escalations effectively
- Maintain orderbook accuracy and contract review standards
- Drive project management best practice across accounts
- Identify and secure additional work packages and growth opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in project or account management within manufacturing or aerospace
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a small team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Ability to manage risk, prioritise workload, and drive performance
- Engineering or technical background advantageous
- Proactive, confident, and customer-focused approach
Working Hours & Flexibility
- Days-based role
- Flexible start time between 7:00am and 8:30am
- Finish time between 4:00pm and 5:30pm (Monday to Thursday)
- Early finish on Fridays between 1:00pm and 2:30pm
Salary & Benefits
- Circa £50,000 salary
- Company car or car allowance option
- 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays
- Company and individual performance-related bonuses, paid in June and December
