Workforce Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Assistants / Care Workers to support a variety of residential and nursing homes across Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with a wide range of needs, including elderly care, mental health, and learning disabilities. You’ll play a vital role in improving residents’ quality of life through personal care, companionship, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Supporting with medication administration/management in line with care plans and policies
  • Helping with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
  • Providing companionship, emotional support, and reassurance
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents
  • Encouraging residents to take part in social, recreational, and daily living activities
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, senior carers, and home staff to deliver person-centred care

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a Care setting in the UK
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and spoken English and the ability to follow care instructions
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including days, nights, weekends, earlies, and lates
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Willingness to complete face-to-face mandatory training
  • The ability to provide satisfactory references (Min 3 years)
