Registered Manager – Elderly & Dementia Care Home (Flitwick, Bedfordshire)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum | Hours: Full-time, 40 hours
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 72-bed care home specialising in elderly and dementia care. The home is currently in mobilisation, with the first residents expected in April. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new care home from the ground up, supported by a management team including a deputy, two team leaders, and an administrator.
What You’ll Do:
- Commission, open, and manage a new care home, ensuring full readiness for residents.
- Lead and inspire your team, acting as a positive role model and mentor.
- Maintain high-quality care standards and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare for CQC inspections and liaise with inspectors, PAMMS, and local authority monitoring officers.
- Collaborate with leaders across multiple disciplines to ensure smooth operations.
- Make confident, informed decisions while managing multiple priorities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 5 or above in Social Care.
- Proven experience as a care home manager, ideally having commissioned a new home.
- Leadership style, willing to roll up your sleeves.
- Expertise in CQC preparation, inspection processes, and compliance.
- Exceptional multi-tasking and decision-making skills.
