Workforce Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Workers to support a variety of residential and nursing homes across Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire. In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting residents with a wide range of needs including elderly care, mental health, and learning disabilities. You’ll help improve their quality of life through personal care, companionship, and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility)
- Support with medication management and care plans
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Provide emotional support and build strong, trusting relationships
- Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
- Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment
- Encourage participation in recreational and social activities
Requirements:
- 6–12 months UK care experience (essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written English and ability to follow care instructions
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts: days, nights, weekends, earlies, lates
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Willingness to complete face-to-face mandatory training
- Ability to provide satisfactory references
