Are you an experienced and compassionate Care Worker looking for flexible work within residential care homes and nursing homes? Workforce Personnel are recruiting Care Assistants / Support Workers to provide high-quality care across Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals with elderly care needs, mental health conditions, and learning disabilities, helping to improve independence, dignity, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Supporting medication administration in line with care plans
- Assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Offering emotional support, companionship, and reassurance
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or behaviour
- Maintaining accurate care records and daily notes
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive care environment
- Encouraging participation in social, recreational, and wellbeing activities
- Working in line with CQC standards, safeguarding policies, and best practice
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6–12 months UK care experience (residential, nursing, or supported living)
- Passion for supporting vulnerable adults
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a care team
- Good written and spoken English
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, earlies, and lates
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Willingness to complete mandatory face-to-face training
- Ability to provide satisfactory references
