Workforce Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Assistants / Care Workers to support a variety of residential and nursing homes across Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with a wide range of needs, including elderly care, mental health, and learning disabilities. You'll play a vital role in improving residents' quality of life through personal care, companionship, and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant / Care Worker, your duties may include:
Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Supporting with medication administration/management in line with care plans and policies
Helping with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
Providing companionship, emotional support, and reassurance
Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records
Ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents
Encouraging residents to take part in social, recreational, and daily living activities
Working collaboratively with nurses, senior carers, and home staff to deliver person-centred care
Requirements
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you MUST have:
A minimum of 6 months experience working in a Care setting in the UK
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and spoken English and the ability to follow care instructions
Flexibility to work a range of shifts including days, nights, weekends, early and lates
An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
Willingness to complete face-to-face mandatory training
The ability to provide satisfactory references (Min 3 years)
