We are a growing small works building company based in Solihull, delivering a wide range of construction and refurbishment projects across the region. Due to continued growth, we are looking to bring on a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience, working closely alongside an experienced Estimator and learning how projects are priced, managed, and delivered from start to finish.
You will support the Estimator and wider team in preparing costings and ensuring projects are commercially viable. Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of tenders and cost estimates
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Supporting with pricing small works and refurbishment projects
- Helping to monitor project costs and budgets
- Assisting with variations and final accounts
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
About You:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good attention to detail
- Confident using Excel and general IT systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen to learn and develop within a commercial construction role
