Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who is looking to join a stable, friendly and growing construction business. The company works across a range of general construction projects and can consider candidates at different levels of experience, from Assistant / Intermediate level through to more experienced Quantity Surveyors.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in the commercial management of construction projects from initial pricing stage through to final account. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing project costings
- Assisting with tenders, quotations and pricing documents
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract information
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment
- Managing variations and change control
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and profitability
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting procurement of subcontractor packages and materials
- Preparing cost reports and commercial updates
