We are recruiting for a Construction Coordinator to join a busy and growing construction company based in Oldham. This is a varied role working closely with the Bid Team, customers and wider business, with a particular focus on Social Value, community engagement and customer relationships.
Key duties will include:
- Supporting the Bid Team with Social Value content for new projects and tenders
- Helping develop initiatives around local employment, apprenticeships and work experience
- Building relationships with local schools, colleges, community groups and charities
- Supporting community engagement activities connected with construction projects
- Monitoring and promoting the positive social impact of developments
- Attending meetings with clients and supporting customer events
- Liaising with existing customers and maintaining strong relationships
- Helping coordinate Social Value commitments throughout live projects
- Managing and updating the company’s social media channels
- Promoting community initiatives, project successes and Social Value achievements
- Working with site teams and internal departments to gather information for bids, reports and marketing
The ideal candidate will:
- Have some previous experience working within the construction sector
- Be confident dealing with clients, contractors and members of the community
- Have strong communication and organisational skills
- Be comfortable attending meetings and events
- Have an interest in Social Value, community engagement and the wider impact of construction projects
- Be confident using social media for business purposes
