Our client is a specialist commercial ventilation contractor delivering installation projects across a range of commercial buildings. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Graduate / Trainee Estimator & Project Coordinator to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or ambitious trainee looking to build a career within the construction and building services sector. The successful candidate will receive training and support to learn how to price commercial ventilation projects, prepare quotations and assist with the management of projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications and tender enquiries, assist with take‑offs, obtain quotations from suppliers, and build accurate costs for labour, materials, plant and installation works.
- Support the project delivery team by assisting with procurement, coordinating materials and labour, communicating with site teams and clients, updating project records, and ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or trainee with an interest in construction, building services, mechanical services, estimating or project management.
- Degree, HNC/HND or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a related subject is beneficial; applicants with the right attitude and willingness to learn will also be considered.
Required Skills
- Good numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and good communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Word and email.
- Ability to read technical drawings is beneficial; training will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to occasional site visits.
