Our client is a specialist contractor delivering highways-associated metalwork and barrier installation projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their team in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator with a background in fabrication, metalwork, highways infrastructure or installation-based construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Preparing accurate quotations and tender submissions for a range of highways-related metalwork packages
- Measuring and pricing fabrication and installation requirements
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Preparing cost build-ups
- Reviewing labour, plant and material costs
- Ensuring tenders are completed accurately and returned on time
You will work closely with directors, project managers, site teams, suppliers and clients throughout the tender process. The role will also involve identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
