We are recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established residential refurbishment contractor based in Bristol. The company works across residential refurbishment projects, including apartment blocks and multi-unit residential schemes, and is looking for an Estimator who can support the pricing of new and existing project work.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in construction, refurbishment, maintenance, fit-out, residential blocks, planned works, or general building projects who is looking to join a stable business with a strong pipeline of work.

The role will be office-based and will involve preparing accurate estimates, quotations and cost information for residential refurbishment projects, working closely with the management and project delivery teams to ensure works are priced correctly and commercially.

The role will include:

  • Preparing estimates and quotations for residential refurbishment projects
  • Pricing works across apartment blocks and multi-unit residential schemes
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules and client requirements
  • Measuring works and producing cost breakdowns
  • Sourcing prices from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assessing labour, materials and project requirements
  • Supporting tender submissions and pricing documents
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal project teams
  • Helping ensure projects are priced accurately, competitively and profitably

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Estimating experience within construction, refurbishment, planned works, maintenance, fit-out or residential projects
  • Experience working on apartment blocks, multi-unit residential schemes, or similar refurbishment projects would be advantageous
  • Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Strong numeracy and communication skills
  • Confidence reading drawings, specifications and scopes of work
  • Good IT skills and the ability to work accurately to deadlines
  • A proactive and organised approach
