We are currently recruiting for an experienced Administrator to join a busy and professional business in a full-time office-based role. This is a varied position, acting as a central administrative support function across the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for office management, document control, onboarding administration, compliance tracking, Building Control coordination, aftercare support, utilities administration, and general operational support.
This role would suit a highly organised and proactive administrator who is confident managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate records, and communicating professionally with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, contractors, councils, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day office administration and maintaining professional office standards
- Preparing meeting rooms and coordinating office supplies, refreshments, and stock levels
- Supporting HR onboarding, including new starter records, IT equipment requests, and system setup
- Coordinating Building Control applications, inspections, certificates, and related documentation
- Maintaining trackers for compliance, Building Control, Council Tax, utilities, HMO licences, onboarding, and aftercare
- Chasing outstanding information from internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
- Managing Council Tax exemptions, utility account changes, and supplier communications
- Supporting HMO licence applications, renewals, compliance records, and council correspondence
- Monitoring aftercare communications and updating tasks, evidence, and records
- Reviewing supplier invoices against purchase orders and raising discrepancies where required
- Maintaining organised digital filing systems across company platforms
- Coordinating company events, staff initiatives, and general team support
- Supporting neighbour and community communications where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in administration, office management, operations support, or document control
- Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy office environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A confident, professional, and proactive approach
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and general office systems
- Experience using Asana, BambooHR, or similar platforms would be beneficial
- Experience within construction, property, compliance, Building Control, or HMO administration would be advantageous
- The confidence to chase outstanding information and escalate issues where required
