We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take over a live new-build care home project based in Milton Keynes. Our client is an established construction contractor delivering a 13-bed care home development, and due to unforeseen circumstances they are looking to appoint a Site Manager as soon as possible to oversee the remaining stages of the build through to completion.

The Project: This is a ground-up new build scheme, similar in nature to small-scale commercial construction projects. The structure has now been completed and the project is entering the main internal construction phase. The incoming Site Manager will take responsibility from first fix M&E onwards, ensuring the successful delivery of the project through to practical completion and final handover. The remaining programme is approximately 8 months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing first and second fix M&E coordination
  • Overseeing building control inspections and regulatory compliance
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained on site
  • Coordinating and managing subcontractors through to finishing stages
  • Driving the project programme to practical completion and handover
  • Maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Site Manager on construction projects
  • Experience with new build or small commercial schemes is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of M&E coordination and internal construction phases
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to take ownership of the remaining programme and deliver the project to completion
  • Must be able to commute to Milton Keynes and attend site five days per week
