We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established business based in West Croydon, who are looking to appoint an Accounts / Finance Assistant to support their finance function.
This role is ideal for someone with 1+ years commercial experience across Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) who is keen to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing purchase invoices (Accounts Payable)
- Managing supplier accounts and resolving invoice queries
- Raising sales invoices and monitoring payments (Accounts Receivable)
- Credit control and chasing outstanding balances
- Bank and supplier statement reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- General finance administration and ad-hoc duties
- Minimum 1 years experience in an accounts or finance role
- Proven experience in AP and AR
- Experience using accounting software (experience with Xero is beneficial but not essential)
- Strong ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced finance environment
- AAT qualification or studying towards AAT (beneficial, not essential)
