We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in cooling and HVAC systems to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing cooling plant and associated mechanical systems across our site(s), ensuring all assets are kept in safe, efficient working order.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on cooling, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical systems including pumps, valves, pipework, and compressors.
- Support system upgrades, modifications, and energy efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with electrical and controls engineers to resolve multidisciplinary issues.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide technical support when required.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Skills & Experience preferred
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with cooling systems, chillers, refrigeration, or HVAC plant.
- F-Gas certification (advantageous).
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Full UK driving license (if role involves site travel).
