We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing Building Services and M&E team delivering projects across prestigious London university campuses. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong mechanical bias to oversee projects within live educational environments.

The successful Mechanical Project Manager will manage a range of M&E and small works projects, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards while building strong relationships with stakeholders and end users. This role would suit a proactive Mechanical Project Manager with experience in HVAC, heating systems, plant rooms, and live estate environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of M&E projects across campus estates
  • Oversee works from scoping through to completion and handover
  • Ensure delivery meets programme, budget, and quality expectations
  • Work effectively within live university environments, minimising disruption
  • Prepare estimates and quotations for small works
  • Manage variations and financial performance
  • Lead site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Build strong relationships with estates teams, staff, and users
  • Provide mechanical technical expertise across HVAC, heating, and plant systems
  • Ensure health & safety compliance across all works
  • Identify and develop business opportunities within existing contracts
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in Contract Management or Project Management within M&E / Building Services
  • Strong mechanical bias including HVAC, plant rooms, and heating systems
  • Experience working within live environments (education sector experience preferred)
  • Ability to estimate small works and manage budgets
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Experience identifying and converting business opportunities
