Workflow Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a growing building services provider for an experienced Commercial Gas Administrator to support their Commercial Gas division. This is a senior-level administration role, ideal for someone who has worked within domestic and commercial gas environments and understands SORs, job pricing, planning, and operational support.
As a Commercial Gas Administrator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the gas department, supporting engineers, supervisors, and management. This role requires strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and experience within gas or building services contracts.
You will be responsible for planning works, pricing jobs, managing SORs, and ensuring smooth operational delivery across commercial gas contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-day administration support for the Commercial Gas Department
- Assisting with job planning, scheduling, and engineer allocation
- Raising, managing, and updating SORs (Schedule of Rates)
- Pricing works, variations, and remedial jobs
- Supporting supervisors and managers with operational admin
- Managing job workflows from instruction to completion
- Updating job management systems and maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Raising purchase orders and assisting with material ordering
- Supporting invoicing and commercial reporting
- Assisting with compliance documentation and contract admin
- Handling queries related to job progress, costs, and scheduling
- Supporting continuous improvement across gas operations
- Previous experience as a Gas Administrator / Senior Administrator / Commercial Administrator
- Background in commercial and domestic gas or building services
- Strong understanding of SORs, pricing, and job costing
- Commercial awareness and understanding of contract delivery
- Experience planning works and supporting engineers
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident using job management systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and support senior management
