As our Wet Worker you will be responsible for undertaking general heating, and hot and cold water system servicing, repairs, and installation work within occupied properties. You must maintain a high standard of work that supports performance, quality, and customer satisfaction within a Right First Time culture.
The role includes ensuring that all work is carried out safely, in line with industry and manufacturer standards, in accordance with our clients' contract specifications, and with minimum inconvenience to residents.
You will install, maintain, and repair pipes, fixtures, and controls associated with hot and cold water distribution systems and heating systems within domestic and non-domestic properties across the clients' contracts.
- Replacing/installing immersion heaters and wiring them to the local electrical fused spur.
- Repairs to hot and cold water systems.
- Upgrading hot and cold water systems, pipework, controls, and ancillary equipment.
- Undertaking repairs to underfloor heating manifolds, controls, and components.
- Repairs and fault diagnosis of Heat Interface Units (HIUs).
- Providing assistance to other departments within the Gas Division, when required.
Ensure your PDA is always operational to support accurate and efficient workload delivery and data transfer via ACIMS. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Relevant qualifications for the job role include:
- Building Regulation-approved G3 Hot Water Unvented Certificate.
- Gas ACS qualification is an advantage but not essential.
- NVQ in Plumbing or equivalent.
Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal office hours is required. Demonstrable recent experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and controls associated with hot and cold water distribution in domestic and non-domestic properties is essential. Experience working in both domestic and non-domestic environments is also necessary.
