As an Adult Core Skills Tutor delivering ESOL, Functional Skills English and Maths, Digital, Employability, you will provide the highest possible quality teaching and learning to a group of learners. These courses are non‑accredited, with the potential to move to accredited as the year progresses. There may also be scope to deliver other programmes depending on your experience.

Providing engaging teaching, learning and assessment with a creative and supportive approach to teaching, adapting to a range of learning styles, and ability to differentiate delivery to learners with mixed abilities to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding.

Qualifications
  • Teaching qualification (PCGE, CertEd, DET or Scottish equivalent), level 5/SCQF Level 8 specialism (if you have Internal Verifier or Assessor qualifications that would be advantageous)
  • Experience of design and implementation of innovative learning, schemes of work and lesson plans.
  • Experience in a range of initial assessment and diagnostic tools.
  • A thorough understanding of the quality processes that underpin your delivery.
  • Experience of working with adults in hard‑to‑reach areas who may face multiple barriers to education.
  • A strong team‑work ethic.
  • A passion for adult education and making a difference.

These tutors often bring a wealth of transferable skills and subject expertise that can add real value to our courses.
