Overview
We are looking for a Labourer / Yardsperson to join our friendly team at our branch site in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottingham. This role provides vital support to branch operations and will be yard-based, assisting with loading and unloading of lorries to ensure timely delivery of pumps and associated equipment to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Keep the yard and workshops in a clean and tidy state.
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking against paperwork, identifying missing items, damages and fuel charges when needed.
- Collaborate with Workshop Fitters and the Workshop Manager. Work as part of a team when required and be able to work unsupervised with a positive attitude and integrity.
- Assist fitting staff with tasks such as lifting and moving, in depot or on-site.
- Clean hire equipment prior to entry to the workshop using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Be polite and co-operative with staff and customers; promote the company when on-site.
- Communicate accurately with your supervisor, colleagues and customers regarding job specifications (e.g., ETAs, missing or damaged items), and obtain signatures and names when delivering/collecting.
- Comply with all PPE requirements for Selwood or site regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within a similar working environment.
- Forklift counterbalance experience would be advantageous.
- Driving Licence desirable but not essential.
- Reliability is essential for this position.
