About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in Siltbuster. This role is responsible for the design, coordination and successful delivery of turnkey design solutions across the Group activities. It involves project planning, overseeing equipment fabrication and assembly, client coordination, and overseeing site installation, commissioning and handover of projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Drive the successful delivery of projects for rental or turnkey wastewater treatment solutions through coordination with sales, design, operations and procurement teams.
- Prepare detailed design documentation including P&IDs, layout plans, system profiles, control philosophies, plant specifications and O&M manuals / standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with design and production teams to develop general arrangement drawings and bespoke system designs tailored to project requirements.
- Attend meetings with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to develop technical solutions, identify project constraints and define solution requirements.
- Ensure all quality records related to installation, testing and commissioning are accurately compiled to support effective system handover.
- Conduct site inspections for pre‐installation assessments and prepare site‐specific risk assessments and method statements.
- Collaborate with the Technical Sales team to liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers, ensuring the scope of work is clearly defined and maintained from tender through commissioning and handover.
- Support project teams by providing information for the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), including liaison with suppliers and subcontractors as required.
Qualifications Required:
- Educated to Engineering Degree standard or equivalent qualifications.
- Proven history in relevant industry experience; interest is desirable with a practical outlook.
- Sound knowledge of engineering principles for design, assembly and operation.
- Basic understanding of ISO 14001 and 9001:2015 standards and appropriate health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Knowledge of the industrial/wastewater industry is desirable.
- Competent with 2D AutoCAD for design and technical documentation.
- SSSTS/SMSTS/IOSH trained is desirable.
- Demonstrate good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work with effective problem solving outlook.
- Ability to communicate technical and non‐technical information relative to audience.
- Ability to handle multiple work projects running concurrently as business needs arise.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly on engineering principles.
- Knowledge in the industrial/wastewater industry is essential.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and operational environments.
