Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and effective communication with immediate supervisor and work colleagues on job requirements e.g. cost, downtime, and identifying cause.
  • Check all equipment for damages and ensure detailed notification is sent to the Branch Manager.
  • Put forward proposals for modifications and improvements to machines, equipment or processes.
  • Ensure necessary administration and paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educated to NVQ level 3 standard or equivalent in a mechanical discipline, ideally automotive engineering.
  • Prior experience of working with diesel engines and/or industrial pumps an advantage.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to find and fix faults effectively and efficiently.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and industry standard hand and power tools.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Good attention to detail with a passion for delivering high quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to grow with the role and open to complete further appropriate training.

What We Can Offer You

  • 25 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
  • Increasing annual leave entitlement with long service
  • 3x your annual salary life insurance (DIS)
  • Support for development and training
  • Employee assistance programme (EAP) & access to Mental Health first aiders
