This is an exciting time to join Selwood as we drive our business forward and build on a foundation of over 70 years’ success within our industry with continuous expansion through Europe and the USA. We are expanding our Commercial Finance team to support growth and are looking for a fully or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA individual with an inquisitive and analytical nature to take on this opportunity. This role will support our pump rental business unit to deliver high quality financial reporting and insights to the Executive and Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse investment opportunities and make recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Analyse disposals and repairs to highlight product/customer/management issues.
  • Deliver monthly presentations to senior stakeholders on Capex spend and obtain input on any required expenditure.
  • Deliver quarterly presentations to key Operational and Sales Directors to highlight fleet performance and discuss inactive equipment, branch and product requirements.
  • Ensure fleet and stock control management is correct and that we have the right fleet in the right place.
  • Utilisation and pricing analysis — review which products need more investment and which aren’t providing the right return on investment; present findings and proposed changes to the wider business.
  • Product category/processing management — adjust categorisations to provide clearer analysis to the business.
  • Rate reviews to ensure the required return on investment.
  • Support Technical and Solutions Directors with financial expertise.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Previous demonstrable experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Partner/Advisor, or Finance Analyst role.
  • Qualified or part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ICAW/ACA.
  • Aptitude for studying with opportunities for growth and progression within the team and group.
  • Computer literate with the ability to analyse and manipulate data in Excel, including advanced features.
  • Experience with Dynamics, Navision, or Power BI is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to undertake financial and business modelling tasks.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Experience using initiative to resolve issues and queries; confident and curious to find answers as needed.
  • Attention to detail; ability to produce accurate reports to deadlines.
  • Proactive, forward-thinking with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
  • Flexibility to support the business and stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Car owner and driving license essential.
