We are looking for a Mobile Fitter to join the team from our branch in Dartford, covering the surrounding region. This role will be responsible for carrying out diesel engine repairs, diagnostics and pump maintenance on customer sites and in the branch workshop. Due to the nature of our branch operations, this role will involve being part of a call out rota, which has a standby allowance plus excellent overtime payment.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Thoroughly carry out repairs to the diesel engine equipment as needed/directed, including fault finding and diagnostic/investigative work on customer sites.
- Conduct regular servicing on pump rental fleet equipment as needed and directed on customer sites.
- Work safely as a priority with knowledge of PPE requirements.
- Communicate accurately with work colleagues and customers.
- Complete tasks on your tablet accurately and submit on time.
- Maintain housekeeping standards; keep work areas and vehicles clean and orderly.
- Complete daily vehicle defect reports to ensure safety.
- Carry out all given tasks as instructed or per relevant training in a timely manner.
- Show understanding of company policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience
- NVQ level 3 in Mechanical engineering (or other relevant qualifications) or equivalent work experience.
- Full UK driving licence, as this role will involve attending site visits and breakdowns.
- This role will be subject to a safety critical medical.
