The Workday Extend Services Consultant designs, develops, and deploys Workday Extend applications for Workday customers. These applications will be built to run alongside Workday’s Human Resources, Financial Management, and Student Information Systems. You will collaborate closely with customers and the Workday project team to design and develop cutting‑edge solutions for complex business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions with customer domain experts across technical and product areas to gather precise requirements.
  • Produce accurate design documentation.
  • Develop and review technical designs, ensuring they are consistent, maintainable, flexible, and efficient.

Ideal Profile

  • Strong ability to simplify complex concepts and clearly articulate them.
  • Proficiency in understanding and analyzing customer procedures.
  • A naturally curious approach, with a love for problem‑solving and understanding the underlying mechanisms of systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with Workday Extend development.
  • 4+ years of experience with data migration, integration development, report building, or software development.
  • 4+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design.
  • 4+ years of Human Resource, Payroll, Financials, Supply Chain, or Student domain experience.
  • UK citizenship and ability to obtain SC level UK government security clearance (National Security Vetting).

Other Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of web service technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and authentication and authorization methods (OAuth, JWT, WS‑Security, SAML, X.509, etc.).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical teams.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with customer commitments simultaneously.
  • Experience implementing Platform‑as‑a‑Service and/or custom web applications, including Workday solutions using Human Capital Management, Financial Management or Student Information Systems.
  • Experience taking a leadership role within a software, system, or application implementation.
  • Advanced understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle including collecting requirements, design, development, testing, and moving to production.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in other European languages is a plus.
