About The Team

The Services Executive team brings diverse skills and experience from professional services, strategic consulting, and sales.

The team plays a critical role in connecting Workday’s services and sales organizations, supporting subscription sales by differentiating Workday’s services approach – especially through AI and Extensibility.

We ensure customers are set up for deployment success and broader business transformation.

About The Role

As a Senior Services Executive you will pivot from traditional implementation planning to strategic advisory.

You will be responsible for the planning, management, and execution of Professional Services business development activities, with a focus on the “Art of the Possible.” You will use your consulting and change‑management experience to help customers visualize a transformation powered by Workday Illuminate, Workday Extend, and Prism Analytics.

You’ll position the platform for agility, working closely with our ecosystem of Global Systems Integrators to align on methodology and promote a modern, data‑driven approach to business challenges.

  • Drive Strategic Value: Position Workday’s deployment methodology beyond technical setup to business transformation, AI‑driven efficiency, and data insights.
  • Evangelize

Innovation: Serve as subject‑matter expert on how Workday Extend and Workday Illuminate solve unique business problems, distinguishing our platform from legacy competitors.

  • Consultative Discovery: Conduct services discovery sessions focused on business outcomes, change readiness, and strategic goals.
  • Partner Alignment: Cultivate deep, mutually beneficial relationships with Big SI partners and align on deployment strategy and commercial models.
  • Commercial Execution: Lead, negotiate, and close Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and other contractual documents with a focus on value‑based outcomes.
  • Forecasting: Maintain accurate and timely prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data.
  • Relationship Building: Use presentation and influencing skills to solve complex problems and foster long‑term relationships built on empathy, trust, and vision.
  • Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years in Professional Services Sales or Strategic Consulting/Advisory roles within Enterprise Software or Digital Transformation.
  • 5+ years working with, or closely partnering with, Global Systems Integrators (e. g., Deloitte, Accenture, Pw C, KPMG).
  • Proven change‑management experience.
  • Other Qualifications
  • Platform proficiency: Explain business benefits of AI, Machine Learning, and Paa S without being a technical developer.
  • Track record in complex services sales with successful revenue and profitability outcomes.
  • Strategic mindset: shift conversations from “features and functions” to “business value and ROI.”
  • Solid understanding of Human Capital Management or Financials Enterprise Application space.
  • Outstanding presentation skills at C‑level audiences.
  • Commercial acumen: attention to detail in RFP responses, scope description, and contract documentation.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
