About the Role
As a member of the Technical Consulting team, you will play a key role in the end‑to‑end deployment of technical system integrations between a customer’s Workday system and their enterprise landscape. A portion of your portfolio will be in the UK Government Vertical, supporting the evolution and expansion of technical solutions in this space. You should be comfortable working within the specific requirements of public sector projects and possess the necessary eligibility to do so. Using Workday’s enterprise‑class ESB technology, you will convert technical integration requirements to architectural decisions, build, test, and deploy those integrations into production, and support broader technical project discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert integration requirements to appropriate architectural decisions in Workday.
- Build, test, and deploy integrations using Workday’s ESB technology.
- Participate in the technical project lifecycle and broaden your knowledge of integration Enterprise Architecture best‑practices, application security, and system authentication.
- Self‑manage multiple deployments and determine how to approach workloads each week.
- Provide status reports to the Engagement Manager and keep stakeholders informed.
- Assist the functional consulting team in designing and testing integrations.
- Ensure the client is referenceable once in production.
- Process and analyze detailed information, make strategic decisions, and deliver innovative solutions.
- Participate in training and events to share product skills.
Training & Development
- Month 1: Complete instructor‑led Workday Core Integration & Practical Certification training.
- Within first 6 months: Undertake further Specialist Certification training.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years delivering complex enterprise business applications projects, specifically with experience delivering to UK Local and National Government.
- 3+ years experience with SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, Java, .NET or related technologies.
- 3+ years experience in Web Development (Backend) and Web Services.
- Ability to secure the relevant security clearances.
Other Qualifications
- Experience with middleware such as MuleSoft, SnapLogic, SAP PI/PO, etc.
- Experience as an Internal Technical Business Analyst or similar within UK Local and National Government, or Consulting/Software Companies.
- Understanding of integration patterns, data manipulation, transmission, and optimisation for speed and performance.
- Proactive mindset toward AI adoption and an AI‑first approach to problem‑solving.
- Strong presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant educational qualifications or professional experience in software, IT projects, application development, implementation or support.
- Ability and desire to learn technology quickly through a mix of mediums.
- Resourceful and adaptable; comfortable working in office, remotely, and on‑site with high autonomy.
- Collaborative approach: share knowledge and coach new team members.
