p Due to retirement, we have an exciting contract vacancy on a grazing farm near Warminster in Wiltshire; the unit being one of two run by the farmer on the same estate. /p p The unit has the following features: /p p • 430 Spring calved cows br / • 25:50 Waikato Parlour with simple feeders and Mount Pleasant backing gate br / • Excellent infrastructure of tracks and paddocks br / • Covered handling facilities br / • Cubicles with mattresses (cows not outwintered) br / • Easy feed and self-feed grass and maize silage /p p We require a herdsperson, looking for their next move, preferably with current experience on a similar system, to work as part of a three-person self-relieving team. Your role will be supporting the excellent herd manager with all tasks such as milking, calving, fertility management, grassland management, feeding, yard work, herd health, calf rearing and record keeping.
