Job Description: Are you passionate about Warehouse and Logistics and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics company? We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team at the Mendip Distribution site. In this role, you will be using systems and scanners to receive and locate goods, pick and dispatch these goods, as well as load and unload lorries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Counterbalance and Pivot Steer to load and unload palletised goods from lorries, including placing pallets into racking systems.
  • Use warehouse systems and scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods whilst handling all goods with care and attention.
  • Replenish stock and consolidate inventory as needed.
  • Support general warehouse tasks, including pallet wrapping and labelling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse and ensure equipment is kept in good condition.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately, following warehouse procedures and reporting any issues or defects.

Requirements:

  • Hold either a current Counterbalance license or a Pivot Steer licence.
  • Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with computerised warehouse management systems, Manhattan scale is advantageous.
  • Good communication and team working skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
