We're recruiting for an experienced Finishing Pig Stockperson for an outdoor organic unit in Norfolk, PE32. Our client is a well-established producer with a number of units across Norfolk and Suffolk, including this 8000 place outdoor finishing unit.
Your duties will include:
- Looking after pigs and maintaining excellent animal welfare
- Monitoring and maintaining fencing, housing, water systems, feeders, and other site facilities
- Operating agricultural machinery and equipment where required
- Working both independently and alongside colleagues to keep the farm running efficiently
Person specifications:
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- A genuine interest in livestock and high animal welfare standards
- Someone who enjoys working outdoors in a hands-on environment
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport, as the farm is in a rural location
Salary: Up to £34,000 DOE
Hours: 07:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday, plus every other weekend. No accommodation provided, so candidates need to commute to PE32.
