Full time Foster Carer - Changing a young person's life. Children and young people transitioning from residential care need safe, stable homes where they can rebuild trust and begin to thrive. Fostering experience isn't a requirement; what matters more is your experience in helping children and young people and vulnerable adults navigate challenging behaviours, manage overwhelming emotions and build trusting relationships to grow in confidence and independence.

Sanctuary Personnel is working with Local Authorities across the UK to recruit Foster Carers who can offer support to children and young people moving on from residential care.

As a Full Time Foster Carer, you will:

  • Offer a safe, welcoming, and nurturing home
  • Help create predictable routines and gentle boundaries
  • Support emotional wellbeing day to day
  • Encourage engagement in education and everyday life
  • Work closely with social workers, schools, and other professionals
  • Support a young person as they build confidence and independence

You might consider this role if you:

  • Have professional experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults with complex or challenging needs
  • Understand the impact of early trauma on development
  • Have at least one spare bedroom that can be dedicated to fostering a child
  • Can provide full-time care, with at least one carer available at home
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a suitable vehicle
  • Are open to registering as self-employed
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK

Training, Support and Financial Package: Our team supports better outcomes for children and focuses on placing children with foster carers where they can thrive. You will receive comprehensive training, a dedicated Supervising Social Worker, ongoing support from our in-house Therapeutic Team so you are fully supported before and throughout every placement.

You will receive:

  • A generous fee circa £50,000 per child, dependent on Local Authority
  • A weekly age-related fostering allowance
  • Access to a range of other benefits
