An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious dairy farmer to join an established and profitable dairy business in North Cornwall - with a clear and structured pathway from employed management into a full contract farming / equity agreement. The business operates a 550 cow spring calving, low-input, grazing-based system (with potential to increase numbers) - with a proven and efficient model delivering strong returns. The milk contract is with Arla. The role offers genuine long-term security and the opportunity for the right individual to steadily build equity within a well-run dairy business.

The Role

The position will commence as a Farm Manager, with a move to a formal joint venture agreement as the next step. This will include a profit share arrangement, together with equity options for the future. The business also encompasses several other dairy enterprises, and the successful candidate will work closely with these - providing variety, professional development, and further opportunities as the relationship develops. A new house is currently under construction on the farm, providing excellent modern accommodation from the outset.

The Candidate

We are looking for an individual or couple who can demonstrate:

  • Solid, hands-on dairy experience - ideally within a spring calving and/or grazing-based systems.
  • Strong stockmanship and a genuine enthusiasm for low-input pastoral dairying.
  • Commercial awareness and the drive to build something over the long term.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider business team.
  • A sense of ownership and commitment for the long term.

This is an exceptional chance for a highly motivated person(s) to put down roots in North Cornwall and build a dairy business for the future, with the full backing and professional support of Andersons Midlands LLP - one of the UK's leading agricultural consultancies.
