We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Accountant for a well-established business in Carrickfergus. This is a genuinely commercial finance role and would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys getting behind the numbers, working with operational teams and providing the insight that helps management make better decisions.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll have a broad remit covering:

  • Preparing monthly management reporting packs and commentary
  • Weekly and monthly sales performance and KPI reporting
  • Analysing margins, costs, variances and profitability
  • Working closely with Buying, Sourcing, Sales and other operational teams
  • Providing commercial analysis and insight to senior management
  • Supporting departmental budgeting and performance reviews
  • Improving reporting, financial models and processes
  • Producing ad hoc analysis for the directors and management team

What we're looking for:

  • You’ll be a Qualified Accountant
  • More importantly, you’ll be someone who can look beyond the accounting numbers, understand what is driving performance and communicate that clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Strong Excel, analytical and financial modelling skills are important, as is the confidence to build relationships and challenge constructively at management level.
