Key responsibilities
- Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and responsibly
- Complete multidrop deliveries, typically involving more than 10 drops
- Load, secure and check goods before departure
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules
- Deliver items carefully and courteously
- Complete delivery paperwork and report any issues promptly
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and comply with road safety requirements
- Work effectively with colleagues and customers
Skills and qualifications
- Appropriate entitlement to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle
- Previous experience in multidrop delivery driving
- Comfortable completing more than 10 deliveries per shift
- Good geographical knowledge and route-planning ability
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Physically capable of handling furniture and delivery items
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- A responsible approach to vehicle safety and load security
