Workshop/Commercial Vehicle MOT Presenter (HGV) Location: Ipswich Salary: £13.00 - £15.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch) Permanent role Overtime Available The Role Are you a Class 1 Driver looking for a position that offers more variety than a traditional driving role? We're seeking a reliable and motivated HGV Class 1 Driver / Commercial Vehicle MOT Presenter to support a busy commercial vehicle workshop. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation of a workshop environment rather than spending all week on the road. This role combines vehicle movements, MOT presentation, brake testing and workshop support, making it ideal for someone who wants a hands-on position with plenty of variety. Key Responsibilities * Present trucks and trailers for MOT testing * Manage vehicle movements through the MOT lane to ensure an efficient workflow * Carry out brake testing on commercial vehicles * Collect and deliver trucks and trailers to local customers * Load and unload vehicles when required * Liaise with workshop staff and customers professionally * Maintain high standards of health & safety and vehicle compliance * Support the wider workshop operation as required What We're Looking For Essential Requirements * Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV Licence * Strong awareness of vehicle safety and road transport regulations * Reliable, professional and self-motivated approach * Good communication skills and customer-facing experience * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable * Previous experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop, transport operation or fleet environment * Experience with vehicle testing, inspections or workshop processes What's on Offer * Competitive hourly rate of £13.00 - £15.00 per hour * Overtime opportunities available * 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays * Company pension scheme * Uniform provided * Employee discount benefits * Staff events * Free on-site parking * Friendly and supportive team environment Why Apply?
