The role
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you will help move, load and store materials safely and efficiently. You will work as part of a warehouse team, supporting the smooth movement of stock and maintaining a safe, organised working environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and responsibly
- Load and unload deliveries
- Move stock and materials around the warehouse or yard
- Place goods into allocated storage locations
- Support picking, packing and general warehouse duties when required
- Carry out routine equipment checks
- Follow site health and safety procedures
- Keep work areas clean and organised
Skills and qualifications
- Current counterbalance forklift certification
- Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Good awareness of workplace health and safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work reliably
- Physically able to carry out manual handling duties
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible approach to supporting wider warehouse tasks
