A logistics business is looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to support its transport operations in the Hereford area. This temporary daytime role offers regular work, overtime opportunities and the potential to move into permanent employment.
About the company
A Worcestershire-based logistics business providing freight transport, warehousing, storage and distribution services. Its operations include general haulage, food and ambient goods distribution, container handling and abnormal-load transport. The business also provides waste storage and transportation services and operates dedicated workshop facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out multi-drop and planned delivery work safely and professionally
- Complete vehicle checks before, during and after each shift
- Load, secure and transport goods in line with legal and operational requirements
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts
- Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly
- Follow company, transport and health and safety procedures
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence, Category C
- Current Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices
- Reliable, punctual and responsible approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically able to assist with loading and unloading where required
- Previous commercial driving or multi-drop delivery experience is advantageous
