Key responsibilities
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Load and unload vehicles and move goods around the warehouse
- Place stock in designated storage locations and retrieve goods as required
- Support goods-in, goods-out and general warehouse activities
- Check loads and equipment before use
- Complete relevant warehouse paperwork and records accurately
- Follow site safety procedures and contribute to a tidy, organised workplace
- Work closely with colleagues to help meet daily operational requirements
Skills and qualifications
- A valid counterbalance forklift licence is required
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment is preferred
- Confident and safe forklift operation
- Good awareness of workplace health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Physically able to carry out warehouse duties
- Good communication skills and a positive approach to work
