The role
The company is looking for a Car/Van Driver to complete local deliveries safely, efficiently and professionally. This temporary daytime position would suit a dependable driver who is comfortable working independently and handling goods as part of a busy delivery service.
Key responsibilities
- Driving a car or van on planned local delivery routes
- Completing multidrop deliveries, typically involving more than 10 stops
- Loading, unloading and moving goods by hand
- Carrying out handball duties safely and carefully
- Providing a helpful and professional service at each delivery
- Completing delivery paperwork or records as required
- Following road safety, manual handling and company procedures
Skills and experience
- Previous multidrop delivery experience is required
- Experience completing more than 10 drops per shift
- Confident with handball and manual handling duties
- A reliable, punctual and responsible approach
- Good local-area awareness and route-planning ability
- Clear communication and a professional manner
- A valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle used
