We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a leading home delivery operation based in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional, customer-focused driver looking for ongoing work with a well-established national business.

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, depending on business requirements
  • 6:00am starts
  • Ongoing, full-time work

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Home Delivery Driver, you will work as part of a two-person delivery team, delivering and collecting household appliances directly to customers' homes. You will safely transport white goods including washing machines, fridge freezers, dishwashers, cookers and tumble dryers, ensuring every delivery is completed professionally and with excellent customer service. The position is physically demanding and involves regular lifting, carrying and manoeuvring of large appliances with the support of your driver's mate.

Duties Include

  • Delivering and collecting white goods to and from residential properties
  • Working alongside a driver's mate on all deliveries
  • Safely loading, unloading and manoeuvring appliances
  • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
  • Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices where required
  • Providing outstanding customer service on every delivery
  • Adhering to all road transport and health & safety regulations

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience is preferred
  • Good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling involved
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible to work either Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday as required
  • Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
