About the Role: We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 Day Drivers to join our team in Central Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers who are looking for a stable, full-time position with a well-established company. You will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently across local and regional routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
- Perform local and regional deliveries (no long-haul).
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in line with company standards.
- Complete all relevant paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle checks.
- Provide excellent customer service when delivering goods.
- Adhere to traffic regulations and company health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) driving license.
- Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
- A good understanding of UK road networks and safety standards.
- Must have a reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work early mornings (6:00 AM starts) and occasional overtime if required.
